Alright, we're in the midst of a particularly frigid Ohio winter. So, to inspire some sunny thoughts, we wanted to show a few warm weather sessions on the blog this week. Now close your eyes and think of a warm summer breeze... :)

OK, now on to the fun stuff! We’ve been very busy over the past few months with some BIG changes here at Lauryn Byrdy Photography. The first is that we’ve moved! That’s right, we packed up our beloved studio space in Upper Arlington and shlepped across town to the Short North. We’re now located at 772 N. High Street in Suite 207 above L’Antibes restaurant. We miss our old space and neighbors, but are really excited to be in the always-bustling Short North. We definitely don’t mind being able to walk to some of our favorite restaurants, coffee shops, and stores! :)
If you follow Lauryn on Instagram (@laurynbyrdy), you might have noticed that we’ve also been traveling a lot. We’ve been hard at work on some awesome commercial jobs. One of those jobs has been Purina, which will be ongoing until January. Lauryn, Cydney, Clare and I all hopped on a plane to St. Louis to shoot some Purina employees a few weeks ago. We had such a blast (and lots of rain).
On that note, you might be wondering who Cydney and Clare are! Cydney is the new director of Accounts and New Business, so she’s been extremely busy handling commercial planning/casting. Clare, who you might remember was our intern in 2012, is back from Portland, Oregon and she’s working with us as our Production Manager! We are so happy to have such an energetic and fun team to be working with.
We have lots of exciting things planned over the next few months and we’re really looking forward to keeping you in the loop on what we have going on. Be sure to “like” us on Facebook and follow us on our new Instagram account (@laurynbyrdyphotography) to follow along on all of our adventures.

Happy Friday the 13th, everybody! It's Lily and I"m excited to share with you some fun fall fashion inspiration for our upcoming mini sessions on October 16th! First up is some colorful looks for the adults.
For the ladies: nothing says "fall" like a plaid shirt and this one from J. Crew is perfection. Throw on your favorite fall jacket and a pair of boots and you're good to go! Don't be afraid to add some fun details, like this pair of dark-rimmed glasses.
For the fellas: A great way to play with color, but still stay low-key is to wear rich hues, like the deep burgundy of this sweater. Pair it your favorite jeans and some cool boots and you'll be set! The watch adds another nice pop of color, while still staying laid-back.
And for the kids! Little ladies: Have fun with textures and prints this fall! This camouflage skirt is perfectly on trend and looks super cool paired with these gold sneakers. And, every little gal should have a denim shirt in her wardrobe....it goes with everything!
For the little guys: Keep in cool and laid-back like dad with your favorite pair of jeans and worn-in leather shoes. Add some layers with a classic plaid shirt and this amazing jacket. Extra cool points if you throw on a backwards baseball cap!
If you have any other questions or want me to take a look at some outfits you were thinking of wearing, feel free to e-mail me at info (at) laurynbyrdy.com.

We spent the second half of 2011 and early 2012 shooting with Purina Dog Chow on their new packaging release. Our team styled and shot with multiple employee families across the US at their homes and nearby parks they frequent with their pups. Following each shoot, the video production team jumped in for interviews with each family. Clips can be seen here.
I'm mildly obsessed with dogs...especially puppies, so this assignment could not have been more perfect for me.
